1. Processing of Personal Data

We process personal data on our website in the following ways (additional data processing methods can be found in the subsequent sections of this privacy policy):

Logfiles when visiting the website

When you use our website, our hosting provider logs "logfile" data each time the server is accessed, such as the name of the accessed website, previously visited page (referrer URL), product and version information of the browser and operating system used, requesting provider, date and time of access, used search engines, country of access, transmitted data volume, names of downloaded files, and IP address.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest in storing logfile data lies in ensuring system security, including the investigation of misuse. The IP addresses are deleted after a maximum of 7 days unless they are needed longer due to a security-related incident, for example, for clarification or evidence purposes.

Contact inquiries:

When making contact inquiries, we process your personal data such as name, address, email address, phone number, etc., that we need to answer your request.

The legal basis for processing your personal data in contact inquiries is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We store your personal data from contact inquiries as long as necessary to handle your request, plus a reasonable retention period for follow-up questions.

Providing this personal data is not legally or contractually required, nor necessary for concluding a contract. However, if you do not provide this data, we may not be able to respond to your contact inquiry, or we may be limited in how we can respond.

Registration/Orders:

When you register or place orders, we process your personal data such as name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, chosen username, payment data, etc., necessary to fulfill the contractual relationship with you or to carry out pre-contractual measures at your request.

We store your personal data collected during registration or orders as long as necessary to fulfill the contractual relationship (including providing the customer account) and/or to carry out pre-contractual measures at your request and/or concerning warranty, guarantee, or similar obligations and/or legal retention periods.

The legal bases for processing your personal data during registration or orders are Articles 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Providing this personal data is not legally or contractually required. However, it is necessary for concluding the contract, i.e., for carrying out registration or orders to the extent the relevant details are mandatory in our registration/order process (rather than voluntary).

Newsletter:

If you sign up for our newsletter, we process the data collected during the signup, such as your email address, salutation, etc., for the purpose of sending the newsletter.

If data processing is based on your consent for the above purposes, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Otherwise, data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests), where the legitimate interests lie in the aforementioned purposes.

We store the personal data required for sending the newsletter as long as we need it for this purpose or until you revoke your consent to receive the newsletter. Legitimate continued storage for other purposes (e.g., customer communication) remains unaffected.
